Relief pitcher with a 100+ mph fastball, known for his dominant performances in the late innings.
Ramos's MLB journey began when the Miami Marlins selected him in the 21st round of the 2009 MLB draft. After undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2008, he worked his way up to the majors, making his debut on September 4, 2012.
In 2014, Ramos achieved a 7-0 win-loss record with a 2.11 earned run average, earning him a spot as the Marlins' closing pitcher in 2015. He set a franchise record in 2016 by converting his first 24 save opportunities.
Ramos was traded to the New York Mets in 2017, where he signed a 6.55 million salary for the 2017 season. However, he suffered a shoulder strain in May 2018, keeping him out for the rest of the season.
After becoming a free agent in 2018, Ramos attempted a comeback to the major leagues, signing minor league deals with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, and Colorado Rockies organizations. He was eventually selected to the Rockies' major league roster on September 19, 2020.
