Rising star in the motorsport world, competing in Formula 3 and Formula 2 championships, making waves as a talented young female driver in a male-dominated sport.
At just 19 years old, Abbi Pulling has already made a name for herself in the male-dominated world of motorsport, showcasing her exceptional driving skills and determination to succeed in the racing arena. As a British racing driver, Pulling currently competes for Rodin Motorsport in the F1 Academy and British F4, and is a proud member of the prestigious Alpine Academy programme.
Pulling's journey in motorsports began at the tender age of 8, when she first got involved in karting. By 2013, she was competing in karting championships, and her talent and dedication earned her two consecutive Super 1 National Junior TKM Championship titles in 2017 and 2018.
In 2018, Pulling transitioned to the Ginetta Junior Championship, where she took part in the first three rounds with Total Control Racing. The following year, she switched to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, achieving a best result of two consecutive 6th-place finishes at Donington Park.
In 2020, Pulling made her single-seater debut in the F4 British Championship with JHR Developments, finishing the season 6th in the standings with four podiums to her name. Although she resigned for the 2021 season with aspirations to fight for the title, she was forced to pull out due to lack of budget.
Undeterred by the setback, Pulling returned for the 2024 season with Rodin Motorsport, marking a significant milestone in her career. She made history by becoming the first female race winner of the series, taking the chequered flag in Race 5 at Brands Hatch while setting the fastest lap of the race.
In late 2020, Pulling made a one-off appearance in the Formula Renault Eurocup at Imola, driving for Fernando Alonso's team. Although she finished both races in last place, the experience provided valuable exposure and insight into the competitive world of Formula Renault.
In 2021, Pulling was announced as one of five reserve drivers for the second season of the all-female Formula 3 championship, W Series. She made her debut at the third round of the championship at Silverstone, where she coincided with her coach Alice Powell.
Pulling's achievements have not gone unnoticed, with her becoming the first female winner of the British F4 Championship. Her trailblazing success has paved the way for future generations of female racing drivers, inspiring a new wave of talent to enter the sport.
Through her remarkable journey, Pulling has demonstrated a strong work ethic, perseverance, and a passion for racing. Her determination to succeed in a male-dominated sport serves as a powerful inspiration to women and girls around the world, highlighting the importance of equal opportunities and diversity in motorsport.
In addition to her impressive racing achievements, Pulling's personal story is one of grit and resilience. Despite facing setbacks and challenges, she has remained focused on her goals, using her experiences to drive her forward and propel her towards success.
As Abbi Pulling continues to make waves in the world of motorsport, her name is becoming synonymous with excellence, determination, and trailblazing achievement.
