He graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School in 2006 and went on to attend The Theatre School at DePaul University, where he immersed himself in various productions, including A Lie of the Mind, Hair, Intimate Apparel, Normal, Assassins, and Reefer Madness The Musical. Koch received his BFA in acting in 2012.
