In late August 2006, Teymourian signed a two-year deal with Bolton Wanderers, a FA Premier League club, after securing a work permit. He scored his first two goals for the team in the FA Cup third round against Doncaster Rovers on January 6, 2007. This was followed by his full Premier League debut against Fulham on February 11, 2007. Teymourian's impressive performance earned him a man-of-the-match title, as he scored two league goals against Wigan Athletic on April 7, 2007.
On June 12, 2008, Teymourian joined Fulham on a two-year contract, making his debut against Arsenal and contributing to a 1-0 victory. He later went on loan to Barnsley of the Football League Championship until the end of the season.
Teymourian made his debut for Iran in 2005 and has since featured in the country's squads for the 2006 and 2014 World Cups, as well as the 2007, 2011, and 2015 Asian Cups.
