Born on December 16, 1982, in Homestead, Florida, Rolle was a letterman in football and track and field at South Dade High School. As a junior, he posted three interceptions, 85 tackles, and five pass deflections, and he returned three kickoffs and three punts for touchdowns. His impressive performance continued in his senior year, compiling three interceptions and 86 tackles, with four receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown.
Rolle attended the University of Miami, where he played for coach Larry Coker's Miami Hurricanes football team from 2001 to 2004. During his freshman season, he was one of four true freshmen to letter at Miami, appearing in eight games and recording eight tackles and an interception. In his sophomore year, Rolle started eleven games, earning first-team All-Big East honors, and totaling a career-high 66 tackles with two sacks, six tackles for a loss, seven pass deflections, and an interception.
The Arizona Cardinals selected Rolle with the eighth overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft. He also played for the Chicago Bears and New York Giants, winning Super Bowl XLVI with the Giants in 2011.
