Butt's production company, Prairie Pants, was instrumental in bringing this beloved show to life. He also starred in the series, playing the lovable but awkward Brent Leroy.
A Royal Command Performance
In 2005, Butt hosted a Royal Command Performance gala for Queen
Elizabeth II and
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He performed his song "Nothing Rhymes with Saskatchewan" and traded jokes with
Leslie Nielsen, making it a night to remember.
Other Ventures
Butt has continued to explore different creative avenues, including writing. In 2023, he released his debut novel,
Huge, a psychological thriller about touring comedians. He has also created the television series
Hiccups and written the 2013 film
