Brian Baumgartner is an American actor, best known for his iconic portrayal of Kevin Malone, the lovable and quirky accountant in the NBC sitcom The Office, which aired from 2005 to 2013.
Born on November 29, 1972, in Atlanta, Georgia, Baumgartner attended Holy Innocents Episcopal School and later graduated from The Westminster Schools in 1991. During his time at The Westminster School, he developed a passion for theater and competitive speech events, reaching the national finals his senior year.
After attending Southern Methodist University, where he majored in theater and graduated in 1995, Baumgartner moved to Los Angeles and began his career in the entertainment industry. He served as the Artistic Director of Hidden Theatre in Minneapolis, receiving multiple awards for artistic and acting excellence.
