In 1989, Borislow founded TelSave, Inc., a company that resold access to AT&T long distance lines. His vision and leadership propelled the company's growth, and in 1995, TelSave went public with an initial public offering of three million shares. Two years later, Borislow brokered a $100 million deal with AOL, solidifying TelSave's position as a major player in the telecommunications industry. By 1998, TelSave's sales reached $300 million, with a valuation of $2 billion by Wall Street investors.
After selling his TelSave stock for approximately $300 million in 1999, Borislow embarked on a brief retirement, during which he focused on his horse racing career. However, his entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to conceive the magicJack, a small device that enabled unlimited calling from regular telephones when plugged into a computer's USB port. In 2007, Borislow launched the magicJack, which disrupted the traditional phone industry and paved the way for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology.
In 2011, Borislow purchased a controlling share of the Washington Freedom women's professional soccer team. Although his tenure was marked by controversy and lawsuits, Borislow's passion for sports and his commitment to giving back to the community were evident throughout his life.
Borislow resided in Palm Beach County, Florida, with his family. Tragically, he passed away on July 21, 2014, due to an apparent heart attack.
