Daniel Svensson, born on November 20, 1977, is a renowned Swedish drummer, best known for his incredible skills and dynamic performances with the metal bands In Flames, Sacrilege GBG, and Diabolique. Currently, he is a proud member of the Swedish supergroup The Halo Effect, formed in 2021.
As a self-taught drummer, Svensson's passion for music was ignited at a young age. Growing up, he drew inspiration from the likes of Vinnie Paul of Pantera, whose influence can be seen in his unique playing style.
In 1998, Svensson took over the drums for In Flames, replacing Björn Gelotte, who switched to guitars. This marked the beginning of a new era for the band, with Svensson's debut album, Colony, released in 1999, alongside bassist Peter Iwers.
