During her college years, she joined the women's fraternity Alpha Gamma Delta and worked as a prize presenter on a local TV quiz program.

Rise to Fame

In 1958, Provine was hired by Warner Bros. at $500 per week, marking the beginning of her successful career. She made her film debut in the titular role of The Bonnie Parker Story, directed by William Witney. This was followed by appearances in TV series such as Wagon Train and The Alaskans.
