Erick Johan Aybar, a Dominican former professional baseball shortstop, is known for his impressive skills on the field, playing in Major League Baseball (MLB) for over a decade. In 2009, Aybar tied a franchise record for most triples in a game with two against the Kansas City Royals. On September 8, 2009, he had his first career walk-off hit, against the Seattle Mariners. That year, he hit .312 (8th in the AL) and posted the 4th-best OPS (.776) of all AL shortstops.
