A chance encounter in London in 1963 led to an invitation to dance the title role in Raymundo de Larran's production of Prokofiev's Cinderella at the International Dance Festival in Paris. Samsova's radiant performance earned her the festival's gold medal, alongside Rudolf Nureyev's gold medal for male dancers. This triumph opened doors to guest performances with prestigious companies, including the Marseille Opera Ballet and London Festival Ballet.
