Born on November 3, 1986, in Gochang County, Jeollabukdo, South Korea, Heo began his journey in the entertainment industry as a trainee at SM Entertainment for 2.5 years. He then joined DSP Media and trained for 3 months before debuting as a member of SS501 on June 8, 2005. The group quickly gained popularity with hits like "Never Again" and "Snow Prince."

Solo Career and Musical Theatre

In 2010, Heo left DSP Media to pursue a solo career with B2M Entertainment, releasing his debut album "Let It Go" in May 2011. The album featured hit tracks like "Crying" and "The Art of Seduction." Heo has also ventured into musical theatre, making his debut in the Korean production of "The Three Musketeers" as D'Artagnan in 2011. Heo made his acting debut in the KBS2 sitcom "I Need a Fairy" in 2012. In 2013, he began his 21-month mandatory military service as a police officer, completing his service on July 30, 2015. After his military service, he returned to theater and joined CI Entertainment.

In 2016, Heo reunited with fellow SS501 members Kim Kyujong and Kim Hyungjun to form the group Double S 301. The group released the album "Eternal 5" in February 2016, followed by the Japanese album "Eternal S" in April 2016.
