He began his musical journey playing drums in local R&B bands, later transitioning to session and touring work with esteemed artists such as Otis Redding and Sam and Dave.
In the late 1960s, Jaimoe's collaborations with musicians like Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, and Berry Oakley culminated in the formation of the Allman Brothers Band. This pioneering group defied genre boundaries, blending R&B, blues, jazz, country, and rock to create a distinct southern rock sound.
