Sir Jeremy Cooke, styled The Hon. Mr Justice Cooke, is a renowned British judge who has made a significant impact in the legal fraternity, particularly in the realm of commercial law. Born on 28 April 1949, Cooke was educated at Whitgift School in Croydon and later at St Edmund Hall, Oxford. He embarked on a career in law, becoming a solicitor in 1973 and later being called to the Bar at Lincolns Inn in 1976.
Cooke's expertise in commercial law, energy, insurance, and reinsurance, professional negligence, and shipping and maritime law earned him recognition as a leading commercial silk by The Lawyer. He became a Queen's Counsel (QC) in 1990 and headed 7 Kings Bench Walk from 2000 to 2001.
