Glick was an accomplished student and athlete, winning the American National Collegiate Judo championship while attending the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. He was also captain of the rugby team and president of the Rochester chapter of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. Glick graduated in 1993 and went on to work as a sales executive for Vividence, an econsulting company in San Mateo, California.

Personal Life and Family

At the time of his death, Glick was a resident of West Milford, New Jersey, where he lived with his wife Lyzbeth in a small cottage on a lake. The couple had been married for five years and had a daughter, Emerson, born on June 18, 2001, just three months before his untimely death. Emerson was named after her parents' favorite poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson.

The Fateful Flight

On September 11, 2001, Glick boarded Flight 93 to attend a company sales meeting. He was originally scheduled to travel on the previous day, but had changed his plans. As the flight took off, Glick and his fellow passengers were unaware of the hijacking plot that would soon unfold.
