Born Jesus Ernesto Pintado Andrade on July 12, 1969, in Empalme, Sonora, Mexico, Pintado moved to the United States at a young age and grew up in Huntington Park, California. He eventually relocated to Birmingham, England, where he joined Napalm Death in 1989.
Pintado replaced guitarist Bill Steer in Napalm Death, just prior to the recording of their album Harmony Corruption. This album marked a significant shift in the band's sound, with Pintado's aggressive and technical playing style bringing a new level of intensity to their music.
In 2004, Pintado officially left Napalm Death and revived Terrorizer, recruiting Tony Norman of Monstrosity and Anthony Rezhawk of Resistant Culture. He also played in other bands, including Lock Up and Brujeria, both of which featured Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury.
Jesse Pintado's impact on the grindcore and metal music scenes cannot be overstated.
