Joe Enochs, born on September 1, 1971, is a renowned American former professional soccer player who made a name for himself in Germany, playing for VfL Osnabrück for the majority of his career. Before his rise to fame in Germany, Enochs attended California State University, Sacramento, where he played soccer from 1989 to 1992. During his four-year stint, he scored nine goals and provided 15 assists in 71 games.
In 1994, Enochs received a phone call from former teammate Mark Baena, who was playing in Germany, offering him a chance to join him in the country. Enochs seized the opportunity and moved to Germany, initially intending to stay for just a year. However, he ended up extending his stay, eventually signing with FC St. Pauli.
With St. Pauli, Enochs started in the Fourth Division amateur farm team, but his impressive performance earned him a promotion to the third-tier Regionalliga Nord for the 1995-1996 season.
