Jozef Stmpel is a Slovak former professional ice hockey centre who made a name for himself in the National Hockey League (NHL) and on the international stage, representing his country in multiple tournaments. Selected in the second round (40th overall) of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins, Stmpel immediately joined the Bruins organization. He played for the Bruins and the Los Angeles Kings before joining the Florida Panthers for the 2005-2006 season. During his NHL career, Stmpel played a total of 957 games, scoring 361 points (161 goals, 200 assists).
