Born on July 6, 1953, in Luanshya, Zambia, Kalambo grew up in a family of seven siblings. His father, January Kalambo, was a miner, and Kaiser developed a passion for football from a young age. Known for his exceptional skill, speed, and agility, Kalambo was nicknamed "KK" due to his small stature and terrier-like qualities on the field. He was a reliable player, regularly appearing on the score sheet, and scored several goals from free kicks. Kalambo was a regular in Ndola United's lineup, helping the team finish third in the league in 1975 and 1976. In 1977, Ndola United represented Zambia in the Africa Cup Winners Cup, where they were eliminated in the first round by Rangers International of Tanzania.
After retiring from active football, Kalambo transitioned into coaching, leading several club sides in Zambia and Botswana. He coached with distinction, imparting his knowledge and experience to the next generation of footballers. As a testament to his exceptional coaching skills, Kalambo's teams consistently performed well, earning him recognition and respect within the football community.
