Member of the Jonas Brothers, a popular Disney-signed boy band known for catchy pop-rock tunes and heartthrob status among teenage girls.
Kevin Jonas, also known as Paul Kevin Jonas Jr., is an American musician and actor who rose to fame as the lead guitarist of the pop-rock band Jonas Brothers alongside his younger brothers Joe and Nick. With hits like "Sucker" and "Burnin' Up," the band has been a household name since the late 2000s.
Kevin Jonas was born on November 5, 1987, in Teaneck, New Jersey, to Denise Marie and Paul Kevin Jonas Sr. He grew up in Wyckoff with his three younger brothers, Joe, Nick, and Frankie. Unlike his brothers, Kevin didn't intend to become a musician initially, but his interest grew after stumbling upon music. As a child, he appeared in TV commercials and print ads.
The Jonas Brothers' music career took off in 2005 when they signed with Columbia Records. Their debut album, "It's About Time," was released in 2006, followed by "Jonas Brothers" in 2007. The band gained massive popularity with their subsequent albums, "A Little Bit Longer" (2008) and "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" (2009).
Their music wasn't the only thing that made them famous. The brothers became Disney Channel stars with their appearances in the musical television films "Camp Rock" (2008) and "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" (2010), as well as the TV series "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream" (2008-2010) and "Jonas" (2009-2010).
After the Jonas Brothers went on hiatus in 2012, Kevin pursued his own projects. He starred in the E! reality series "Married to Jonas" with his wife, Danielle Deleasa, showcasing their married life. Kevin also founded the construction company Jonas Werner and became the co-CEO of the influencer marketing company The Blu Market.
In 2019, the Jonas Brothers announced their reunion, and Kevin rejoined the band. They released their fifth studio album, "Happiness Begins," which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. The band's documentary, "Jonas Brothers: Chasing Happiness," premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2019, followed by "Jonas Brothers: Happiness Continues" in 2020.
Kevin has been named one of People magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2008 and has been part of the 21 Club. He has also won several awards with the Jonas Brothers, including a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2009.
Kevin married Danielle Deleasa in 2009, and they have two daughters, Alena Rose and Valentina Angelina. The couple has been featured in People magazine's sexiest couples list.
The Jonas Brothers are known for their charitable work, supporting organizations like the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Children's Miracle Network, and the American Diabetes Association. Kevin has also participated in celebrity charity events, including the "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon.
Kevin Jonas's journey from a small-town boy to a global superstar is an inspiration to many. His dedication to his music, family, and charitable causes has earned him a special place in the hearts of millions.
