Marcus John Marshall, born on 25 November 1978, is a former Champ Car driver from Australia, known for his daredevil skills on the track and his impressive career in various racing championships.
Marshall's passion for racing began in British Formula Three, where he honed his skills and secured a hard-fought win in a wet race. This early success paved the way for his entry into the Champ Car series.
In 2005, Marshall contested 12 races for Derrick Walker's Team Australia Racing, but a lack of experience hindered his performance. Despite scoring only two top-ten finishes, his best finish of 8th in Edmonton showed promise. However, a breach of contract led to his replacement by Will Power prior to the season finale in Mexico City.
In 2006, Marshall shifted his focus to the A1 Grand Prix series, racing for A1 Team Australia and finishing third in the feature race at the Sentul International Circuit in Indonesia. He also practiced in Mexico but did not race. During this period, he began racing full-time in the touring car V8 Supercar series for Paul Cruickshank Racing.
In 2007, Marshall lost his drive with Paul Cruickshank Racing but returned to Carrera Cup, taking over Peter Fitzgerald's car in the series. He also made occasional drives with Matthew White Racing in the second-tier V8 Supercar series, eventually taking over Jack Perkins' Commodore in the Perkins Engineering team.
In 2009, Marshall established Marcus Marshall Motorsport, known as IntaRacing, but financial issues forced the team to cease operations after just six races.
