Lotti's senior career began at Serie D side Arzanese, located in the Province of Naples. He then moved to another Serie D side, Albanova, where he spent a significant amount of time honing his skills. In 1994, he achieved promotion to Serie C2, where he played for two seasons.
In the summer of 1996, Lotti joined Serie B side Castel di Sangro. Two years later, he was signed by Serie B side Lecce, where he played as a backup goalkeeper alongside Fabrizio Lorieri and Vincenzo Marruocco. Lecce's promotion to Serie A in 1999 marked a significant milestone in Lotti's career, as he played his first and only Serie A match on October 24, 1999, against Lazio.
After leaving Lecce, Lotti played for various Serie C1 and Serie C2 teams, including Arezzo, Benevento, and S.S.C. Venezia. In 2005, he joined newly formed Serie C2 side S.S.C. Venezia, where he was the first-choice goalkeeper for the inaugural season. Lotti eventually retired as a player in 2011 and went on to become a goalkeeper coach for Venezia in 2014.
