Michal Repik, born on December 31, 1988, is a renowned Czech professional ice hockey left winger, known for his exceptional skills on the ice and his achievements in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and the Czech Extraliga (ELH).
Repik's impressive junior career with the Vancouver Giants in the WHL earned him a spot in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, where he was selected by the Florida Panthers in the 2nd round, 40th overall. This marked the beginning of his professional journey, which would take him to the American Hockey League (AHL) and eventually to the ELH.
During his time with the Vancouver Giants, Repik helped the team win the Presidents Cup as WHL champions in 2006 and the Memorial Cup as Canadian Hockey League (CHL) champions in 2007. His outstanding performance in the 2007 WHL playoffs earned him the top scorer title, and he went on to lead the league in scoring during the Memorial Cup tournament, winning the Ed Chynoweth Trophy.
