Rezar, born Gzim Selmani, is a Dutch professional wrestler and former mixed martial artist of Kosovo Albanian descent, currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand as a member of Authors of Pain, a subgroup of The Final Testament stable. He is best known for being the first and only Albanian to ever wrestle in the WWE.
Selmani was born on June 16, 1994, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and grew up in Huizen. He is an ethnic Kosovo Albanian, with roots from Mitrovic. From a young age, Selmani was involved in martial arts, starting with judo at the age of four, followed by kickboxing at 12, and eventually training in mixed martial arts alongside his brother Egzon at 15.
Selmani's amateur mixed martial arts career began in 2012, competing in Shooto competitions in the Netherlands. His first professional fight was on July 8, 2012, against Kaan Postaci in The Hague, Netherlands, which he won by knockout with a knee-left hook combo.
Selmani went on to compete in various MMA promotions, including Golden Glory, Final Fight Championship, and Bellator MMA, racking up an impressive record before eventually shifting his focus to professional wrestling.
In 2015, Selmani signed with WWE and began training at the WWE Performance Center. He formed a tag team with Akam, known as Authors of Pain, and the duo quickly made a name for themselves in the NXT brand.
The Authors of Pain have since held the NXT Tag Team Championship and WWE Raw Tag Team Championship once, and also won the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.
