Rob Riggle was born on April 21, 1970, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Sandra and Robert Allen Riggle. His family moved to Overland Park, Kansas when he was just two years old. Riggle attended Shawnee Mission South High School, where he was involved in the school's radio and TV stations and was voted the most humorous in his class.
After graduating in 1988, Riggle attended the University of Kansas, where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and earned a B.A. in Theater and Film in 1992. He later earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Webster University in 1997.
Before pursuing a career in comedy, Riggle joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1990, with the intention of becoming a naval aviator. Although he left flight school to pursue comedy, Riggle often referred to his military experiences in his comedy routines.
Riggle's comedy career spans over two decades, with notable roles in films such as Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), The Hangover (2009), Furry Vengeance (2010), Larry Crowne (2011), Dumb and Dumber To (2014), and Night School (2018). He has also co-starred in the Adult Swim comedy-action series NTSFSDSUV.
In 2012, Riggle replaced Frank Caliendo for the comedy skit and prognostication portions of Fox NFL Sunday. Currently, he co-hosts the miniature golf game show series Holey Moley with Joe Tessitore on ABC.
Riggle is married to Tiffany Riggle, and they have two daughters, Abigail and Gabriella. He is actively involved in several charitable organizations, including the USO, which supports troops and their families.
