In 2008, Morrisonn filed for arbitration, seeking a higher salary, but eventually signed a one-year contract worth $1.975 million with the Capitals. He later signed a two-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres in 2010, but was waived and reassigned to the AHL affiliate Rochester Americans for the 2011-12 season.
