Tim McIlrath is an American rock musician, best known as the lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter of the punk rock band Rise Against. Born on November 3, 1978, McIlrath grew up in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, where he attended Rolling Meadows High School. He later enrolled at Northeastern Illinois University, majoring in English and Sociology.
