Vladimir Morozov is a Russian competitive swimmer and Olympic medalist, renowned for being the former world record holder in the short course 100-meter individual medley, and current textile world record, World Cup record, and Russian national record holder in the 100-meter individual medley and 100-meter freestyle short course.
Born on June 16, 1992, in Russia, Morozov's journey to becoming a swimming sensation began at the tender age of 9. His parents divorced when he was just a year old, and he emigrated to the United States with his mother at the age of 14.
Morozov's impressive swimming career saw him win his first medal, a bronze, in the 200-meter backstroke at the age of 9. He attended Torrance High School in California, where he honed his skills, before joining the University of Southern California (USC) in 2010 to pursue an undergraduate degree in economics.
