ZÄŸr Ek, born on January 3, 1991, is a Turkish professional footballer who has made a name for himself as a skilled left winger in the Turkish football scene. With a passion for the game that began at a young age, Ek's talent and dedication have taken him from humble beginnings to playing for top-tier clubs in Turkey.
Ek's footballing journey began at Fenerbahçe's school in Istanbul, where he honed his skills and caught the attention of scouts. In 2002, he moved to local club Maltepespor, and later to Pendikspor in 2004, where his impressive performances earned him a spot in the youth system.
Ek's big break came in 2006 when he received offers from Istanbul's top three clubs: Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, and Galatasaray. He chose Fenerbahçe, citing his childhood dream of playing for the club. Ek's professional debut came on August 23, 2009, when he played for Ankaraspor against Gaziantepspor. Although his time with Ankaraspor was short-lived due to the club's expulsion from the league, Ek's talent was recognized, and he was loaned out to MKE Ankaragücü for the rest of the season. In 2010, he signed a five-year contract with MKE Ankaragücü, becoming a regular fixture in the side and scoring two goals in the 2010-2011 season.
In 2013, Ek signed a 3.5-year contract with EskiÅŸehirspor, where he continued to showcase his skills as a left winger. Today, he plays for GenlerbirliÄŸi in the TFF First League.
