Czech politicians establish independent Czechoslovak Republic
As the Austro-Hungarian Empire teetered on collapse, Czech politicians sensed their chance to break free. This bold move marked the end of centuries of foreign rule, ushering in a new era of autonomy and self-governance. As the Czech people celebrated their hard-won freedom, Masaryk's vision of a unified, democratic nation began to take shape.
