He made his professional debut in the Swedish Elite League (SEL) in 1976, playing for Södertälje SK. Eldebrink's exceptional talent and dedication earned him numerous accolades, including the Player of the Year award in 1985 and the MVP title in 1988 and 1989.
Eldebrink's impressive performance on the domestic front soon translated to success on the international stage. He represented Sweden in numerous tournaments, including the 1984 and 1987 Canada Cups, the 1987 IIHF World Championships, and the 1988 Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal.
