David Pastrk is a Czech professional ice hockey right winger and alternate captain for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Nicknamed "Pasta," Pastrk has quickly become a household name in the hockey world, known for his exceptional skill, speed, and goal-scoring ability.
Pastrk was born on May 25, 1996, in HavÃrov, Czech Republic, to father Milan Pastrk and mother Marcela Ziembova. He developed an interest in hockey at a young age, thanks to his father, a professional player and coach. Pastrk began skating when he was just three years old and went on to play in the Czech under-18 league, leading the league in goals (41) and points (68) during the 2011-2012 season.
In 2012, Pastrk moved to Sweden to play for the junior squad of Sdertlje SK, where he learned to speak English and Swedish, and started to watch NHL games for the first time. His impressive performance in Sweden caught the attention of NHL scouts, and he was selected by the Boston Bruins in the first round (25th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
