Born on 25 January 1976, in Piraeus, Greece, Nalitzis hails from a family with roots in Rizia. He began his professional career with Panionios, making his league debut at the tender age of 17. Over the course of six seasons, he established himself as a promising young talent, earning him a transfer to Ethnikos Asteras, PAOK, and Udinese Calcio.
Nalitzis' stint with Udinese Calcio was marked by loan spells at Perugia Calcio, Sporting Clube de Portugal, and AEK Athens.
