Early Life and Education

Janueviius was born on January 16, 1985, in Moscow, Russia, to a family of esteemed musicians. His father, Algirdas Janueviius, was a Lithuanian trumpeter, and his mother, Nailia Galiamova, was a Tatar-Jewish composer. In 1987, the family relocated to Klaipėda, Lithuania, where Janueviius began his musical training at the age of four at the Eduardas Balsys School of Arts.

Musical Formation and Influences

Janueviius' early piano lessons were with Valentina Potejenko in Klaipėda. He later studied with Val Kulikauskien (1993-1998) and Jurgis Bialobeskis (1998-2003) at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art in Vilnius. After graduating in 2003, Janueviius entered the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Drama to study with Bialobeskis. In 2004, he moved to Hanover, Germany, where he studied with the esteemed pianist Vladimir Krainev until his passing in 2011. Janueviius then joined the piano class of Professor Bernd Goetzke at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. Throughout his career, he has also received guidance from prominent pianists, including Lazar Berman and his wife Valentina, Naum Shtarkman, Malcolm Bilson, and Jurgis Karnaviius.

Janueviius made his orchestra debut at the age of 15, performing Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's Capriccio Brillante with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Vytautas Lukošius.
