Mashayekhi began his professional acting career on stage in 1957, marking the beginning of a journey that would span over five decades. His first feature film role was in "Brick and Mirror" (1965), directed by Ebrahim Golestan, followed by a brief hiatus before returning to the big screen in "The Cow" (1969) and "Qeysar" (1969), directed by Darius Mehrjui and Masoud Kimiai, respectively.
