Born on March 23, 1973, in Rybnik, Poland, Dudek began his football journey at the tender age of 12 with Grnik Knurów. He made his senior debut with Concordia in the third division, setting a record of 416 minutes without conceding a goal. His exceptional talent soon took him to Sokół Tychy in the Ekstraklasa, where he played for a season before embarking on an international career.
In 1996, Dudek made a significant move to Feyenoord, where he waited a year to make his debut. However, once he got his chance, he went on to appear in all Eredivisie matches for four consecutive seasons. His outstanding performances earned him the Dutch Golden Shoe award in 2000, making him the first foreign player to achieve this feat.
