On August 3, 2007, he signed a two-year contract worth approximately $3.5 million with the Golden State Warriors, with a team option for a third season.
In the 2007-2008 season, Perovi was assigned to the NBA D-League, where he played for the Bakersfield Jam, the Warriors' affiliate team. He was eventually recalled to the Warriors squad in January 2008, making his NBA debut against the Milwaukee Bucks on January 19, 2008. In 7 games with the Warriors, Perovi averaged 1.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
After being waived by the Warriors in September 2008, Perovi moved to Spain, signing a three-year deal worth $3.3 million with Pamesa Valencia of the Spanish ACB. He later joined FC Barcelona BÃ squet in 2010, after a mutual termination of his contract with Pamesa Valencia.
In the 2009-2010 season, Perovi averaged 8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the European basketball scene.
