Radim Vrbata, born on June 13, 1981, is a Czech former professional ice hockey right winger who had a 16-year career in the National Hockey League (NHL). He is best known for his impressive goal-scoring ability, earning him a spot as an NHL All-Star in 2015.
Vrbata was drafted in the seventh round, 212th overall, by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in February 2002 against the New York Islanders and scored his first NHL goal against the Rangers a night later.
Vrbata's rookie season was a promising one, finishing with 18 goals and 12 assists, mainly playing alongside Peter Forsberg and Joe Sakic. Over the course of his career, he played for several teams, including the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning, Vancouver Canucks, and Florida Panthers.
