Born on December 27, 1974, in Burlington, Massachusetts, Pandolfo grew up with a love for hockey. He played for Burlington High School, where he graduated in 1992, and was a member of the Burlington Hockey and Skating Associations Massachusetts state champion team in 1989.
The New Jersey Devils drafted Pandolfo 32nd overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft after his first season at Boston University. During his time at BU, Pandolfo established himself as a star player, scoring 78 goals and 89 assists for 167 points in 133 games. His impressive performance earned him a spot on the NCAA All-American Team and the title of Hockey East Player of the Year.
After two seasons, Pandolfo became a regular with the New Jersey Devils, where he won two Stanley Cups in 2000 and 2003. His best playoff season was in 2003, scoring 6 goals and 12 points in 24 games. Pandolfo's consistency and work ethic earned him a Frank J. Selke Trophy finalist nomination in 2007.
During the NHL lockout in 2005, Pandolfo served as the assistant varsity coach for Burlington High School. This experience laid the foundation for his future coaching endeavors. In 2013, Pandolfo began his coaching career as an assistant coach with the Boston Bruins. He later became the head coach of the Boston University men's ice hockey team, where he currently guides the next generation of hockey talents.
