Aldana's passion for music was ignited at a young age, thanks to her father, Marcos Aldana, a professional saxophonist. She began playing the saxophone at six, initially learning alto, inspired by jazz legends like Charlie Parker, Cannonball Adderley, and Michael Brecker. However, it was Sonny Rollins' music that led her to switch to tenor saxophone, an instrument that would become her signature sound.
