Radostin Prodanov Kishishev, a Bulgarian former professional footballer, is best known for his impressive career, earning 88 caps for Bulgaria, and representing his country in major international tournaments such as Euro 1996 and the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Born on July 30, 1974, in Burgas, Bulgaria, Kishishev started his football journey with local clubs Chernomorets Burgas and Neftochimic Burgas. He later moved to Turkish side Bursaspor, where he played alongside fellow Bulgarian footballer, Kostadin Vidolov.
Returning to Bulgaria, Kishishev joined Litex Lovech and won the Bulgarian league title in 1998 and 1999. During his time with Litex, he faced a hiccup due to being found ineligible for two games, but despite this, the team won their first title.
In the summer of 2000, Kishishev was purchased by Charlton Athletic, a newly promoted English Premier League side. Initially utilized as a right-back, he was soon moved to midfield, where he established himself as a vital part of the team.
Throughout his seven-year spell in the Premier League, Kishishev was an almost constant presence, earning a reputation as a hard worker and a warrior on the pitch. He was known for covering a lot of ground during games, as shown by the Pro Zone statistics system.
Kishishev scored two goals during his time at Charlton, with both coming in the 2002-2003 season. He netted in games against West Ham, making him a local hero, and Everton.
