With a career spanning over five decades, he has mesmerized audiences worldwide with his performances, collaborating with the most esteemed orchestras and conductors.
Born on October 30, 1957, in Moscow, Mintz immigrated to Israel with his family at the age of two. He began his musical journey under the guidance of Ilona Feher, a student of Jenő Hubay, and later studied with Dorothy DeLay in New York.
Mintz's first stage appearance was at the tender age of six, and by eleven, he was already soloing with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. A few years later, he made his Carnegie Hall debut at sixteen with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, conducted by William Steinberg.
Under the auspices of Isaac Stern and the American-Israel Cultural Foundation, Mintz studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York. At eighteen, he embarked on an extensive European tour, followed by a long-term recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon. He has since performed with the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin, Vienna, Concertgebouw, Chicago, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and New York Philharmonic Orchestras.
